Facilities Supervisor
Overview
Responsible for administrating predictive and preventative maintenance activities utilizing our web based CMMS system. Support safe, timely, efficient, high quality production by providing effective leadership to Maintenance Technicians and contractors for the repair, maintenance, and installation of equipment and systems related to the buildings and grounds. Schedule, coordinate, and execute maintenance related activities with department leads, Maintenance Technicians, and outside contractors. Develop key metrics that drive continuous improvement in both staff and equipment.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Supervises a team of maintenance technicians in the day-to-day operations of maintaining the Fort Worth RECARO Aircraft Seating assembly facility. Identify reoccurring problems related to staffing issues or processes and identify possible solutions.
- Operate as a supervisor and leader to monitor the maintenance team’s performance and completion of maintenance activities including complex assignments through constructive feedback and coaching.
- Develop and deliver formal individual performance reviews supporting the growth and development of the technician team.
- Serve as an escalation point to help resolve maintenance or team related issues.
- Develop strategies and plans to be aligned with operational needs, minimize risks, and maximize efficiency of the assets and maintenance team. Ensure maintenance operations are performed in a reliable and cost-effective manner in compliance with safety, quality, compliance requirements and industry standards, and RECARO SOPs. Support and conduct team training on required activities and desired outcomes. Ensures the maintenance SOPs complied with and are routinely reviewed and updated.
- Assist the Facilities Manager in overseeing the activities and performance of the third party providers and contractors.
- Serve as the admin for the Computer-based Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Establish users, create and maintain Preventative Maintenance PMs, and manage and delegate reactive Work Orders submitted by internal customers. Track open work orders to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and accurate and complete information is entered into the system. Ensure maintenance and facilities management records are properly maintained and backed up.
- Assist with inspections of the buildings, building equipment and systems, and operations to pro-actively identify issues and ensure compliance with required maintenance and regulatory standards. Perform regular walk throughs of the building to identify areas that need repairs or that shows signs of problems.
- Recommends and implements programs that maximize safety, cost efficiency and reliability of facilities systems. Identifies critical facilities equipment, collects data to identify frequent failures and implements problem solving techniques to improve reliability/reduce costs.
- Support the coordination and communication with site leadership to discuss/coordinate activities that might impact each other from an operational and safety standpoint. Promote clear and open communication to cultivate good relations between the maintenance team and other departments.
- Monitor shift schedule/workload to ensure reactive (corrective and emergency), preventive, and predictive maintenance is scheduled/completed in a timely manner and work closely with Safety Manager, Facilities Project Manager, Production Planner/Scheduler, and Operations Management to coordinate/schedule and accomplish equipment and facility repairs. Demonstrate planning and people leadership abilities.
- Support compliance audits and quality assurance reviews; review performance reports and take corrective actions.
- Support RECARO Sustainability initiatives to reduce energy consumption and waste generation.
- Ensure adherence to the RECARO Lock out/Tag out program with the maintenance team and contractors performing work onsite.
- Maintain the software and hardware related to site security, access controls, key systems, and guest management.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years of experience in maintenance management in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to remain flexible in a dynamic business environment.
- Prior experience in the use and administration of a web-based CMMS.
- Ability to read/comprehend schematics and technical information and documents.
- Work effectively as a team member, leader and facilitator.
- Prioritize and complete multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation, including 5S Practices, and Total Preventative and Predictive Maintenance practices.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
