IFE Electrical Tech I
Overview
Assist In-Flight-Entertainment (IFE) Suppliers, Program Management, BFE Support, Electrical Engineering, Production, and Repair Station, to ensure all IFE testing equipment is available and functions properly to support production schedule.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for technical troubleshooting of IFE systems, and maintenance of associated testing equipment, in Production and Repair Station areas.
- Coordinates with IFE vendor technicians during required software/hardware upgrades and/or training
- Coordinates IFE tester repairs and/or replacements with the appropriate IFE supplier and BFE team.
- Manage inventory and associated data to ensure IFE test equipment is up to date
- Creates internal work instructions and procedures for operation and or trouble shooting test equipment as needed.
- Reviews RECARO Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) for consistency with IFE supplier ATP prior to Electrical Engineering submittal to OEM
- Reviews all Electrical drawings and BOMs prior to final release to ensure cable part numbers, routings and grounding are correct and feasible for assembly.
- Works directly with the wiring stations in production during FAI/HOV builds to verify assembly is feasible with documentation.
- Trains production personnel on operation of test equipment and how to follow the ATP in order to correctly test production seats and its functionality.
- Production focal point for all IFE failures / first responder to all IFE testing related ANDON calls
- Support Industrial Engineering team with test time analysis for all FAI seat P/N’s
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electronics (A&P Certification preferred); or 4 years of related electronics experience or avionics Military service
- Experience communicating with all levels of employees and leadership; experience communicating with outside suppliers
- Proficient in creating and reviewing documents related to training and technical details
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a high pressure environment
- Proven ability to make sound decisions
- Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, PLM systems and SAP skills
