Junior Electrical Engineer
Overview
Responsible for coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects, as it pertains to IFE/Electrical or Actuation systems. Responsible for technical troubleshooting of electronic seat components, as well as, testing problems in Production and Repair Station areas. Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned electrical engineering work; monitors work for compliance to applicable Airframe requirements, IFE supplier requirements, customer requirements, accepted engineering practices, as well as RECARO standards; ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants.

Responsibilities
- Reviews RECARO Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) for consistency with IFE supplier ATP prior to Electrical Engineering submittal to OEM
- Reviews all aspects of electrical design for HOV programs including, but not limited to, Electrical drawings and BOMs prior to final release to ensure cable part numbers, routings and grounding are correct and feasible for production build.
- Works directly with the wiring stations in production during FAI/HOV builds to verify assembly is feasible with documentation.
- Trains production personnel on operation of test equipment and how to follow the ATP in order to correctly test production seats and its functionality.
- Production focal point for all IFE failures / first responder to all Electrical related ANDON calls.
- Creates test time analysis for all FAI seat P/N’s and reports findings to Production Planning team.
- Plans, schedules and tracks engineering tasks; provides detailed reports to Liaison Engineering Lead or Electrical Engineer.
- Responds to concerns of customers by making changes in a liaison capacity, in regards to IFE/Electrical component integration, in a manner that meets customer expectations and are in conformance with applicable regulations under the supervision of the Liaison Engineering Lead or Electrical Engineer.
- Supports Purchasing and Production by providing bills of materials and documentation to support sourcing of components and their integration.
Qualifications
- An associate’s degree is required in electrical, manufacturing, or a relative technical field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with electro-mechanical components/instruments.
- Experience with hand tools such as multimeters, circuit breaker finders, voltage testers, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in the design, integration and certification of Electrical Components installed in Aircraft interiors is desired.
- Experience in CATIA V5 and electrical design/wire routing modules within CATIA V5 or similar program is a plus.
- Experience with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) is desired.
- Knowledge of PLM based database systems such as Teamcenter, Agile or Enovia is a plus.
- Good understanding of software programming and software configuration control is a plus.
