Safety & Security Manager
Overview
The Safety & Security Manager will provide full support to the operations team to ensure leadership and management of the safety programs. To drive a consistent approach across all EHS activities on the RECARO RAU site. Driving forward the EHS management systems by influencing the management team, whilst working with the operations team to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Administrate the incident reporting/investigation program
- Ensure OSHA compliance and assist with investigations & interactions
- Administrate and perform safety related training tropics
- Active in the planning and development of the site Emergency Preparedness program
- Administrate the Infectious Disease programs
- Develop and maintain the Powered Industrial Truck Safety program including training
- Chair the site Safety Committee
- Chair the site First Responders Team
- Manage First Aid supplies & AED function/maintenance
- Coordinate any Industrial Hygiene studies
- Represent Safety components in ISO audits & interactions, and the site Environmental Team activities.
- Develop and implement site security policies, protocols, & procedures
- Manage site Security systems
- Interacts with law enforcement & emergency responders
- Co-ordination of site EMS and Environmental Permit including:
- Technical support, advice and guidance to managers on HS&E legal compliance and best practices
- Driving the RAU Management team to effectively implement the Safety Management System
- Providing support, assistance, and guidance to Departments on:
- Maintenance of EHS KPI data including:
- Liaison with employees on Occupational Health matters
Qualifications

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with 5 years of experience; or 8 years of related experience
- Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician certification preferred
- American Society of Safety Professionals local chapter membership preferred
- Lean/Six Sigma Experience preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of OSHA, EPA, local and state regulatory requirements
- Posses Texas Personal Protective Officer License preferred (minimum level II)
- Experience in budgetary process and planning
